Professional Career
Kabwe spent the last three seasons with the Charlotte Eagles. In his rookie season in 2006, Kabwe appeared in 16 matches and tallied two goals and four assists in 1,170 minutes. In 2007, Kabwe played in eight games for the Eagles and registered two goals and two assists. In 2008, he saw action in 19 games and finished the season with 11 points (three goals, five assists). He scored the Eagles’ only goal in a 2-1 loss to Cleveland City in the USL-2 championship game.
College Career
Kabwe began his collegiate career at NAIA powerhouse Lindsey Wilson. In 2003, he was fourth on the team in scoring, with 28 points. That season, he was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year and an NAIA second-team All-American. He transferred to Coastal Carolina in 2004, and he made six appearances and tallied four assists in his first season with the Chanticleers. In 2005, Kabwe played in 21 matches and finished the season with 20 points (seven goals, six assists). In the Big South Conference tournament championship game, Kabwe scored the golden goal to lift the Chanticleers to the NCAA tournament, and Kabwe was named the tournament’s MVP.
