Professional Career
Plotkin spent the first three years of his professional career with Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire, who chose him 20th overall in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft.
Plotkin scored one goal in 23 appearances for the Fire. He was a member of the 2007 squad that came to WakeMed Soccer Park and lost 1-0 to the RailHawks in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.
College Career
Plotkin played at Indiana University in 2002-05. He appeared in 90 games and tallied 21 goals and 34 assists. He was named Big 10 Player of the Year in 2005, First Team All Big Ten three consecutive years from 2003-2005 and First Team All-American in 2005.
