BIO: Gale Agbossoumonde comes to the RailHawks on loan from Estoril Praia of Portugal.  Despite his young age, Agbossoumonde has already had an illustrious career as a soccer player.  He joined the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, FL, at the age of 16 and since then has been a force at centerback.  In 2009, Agbossoumonde signed a three and a half year contract with Traffic Sports USA and joined Miami FC.  At the beginning of 2010, Agbossoumonde moved to Portugal to play for Sporting Braga for six months.  He then was sent to Djurgarden in the Swedish Allsvenskan league.  He played eight games with Djurgarden, even garnering “Man of the Match” honors once, but in 2011, he moved again to Germany to play for Eintracht Frankfurt of the 2. Bundesliga. 

In addition to his professional career, Agbossoumonde has been impressive on the international scale as well.  He is a member of the U.S. U-20 team that played in the 2009 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup.  He started in all the games for the U.S. during the World Cup.  Agbossoumonde earned his first senior national team call up in November of 2010, and earned his first cap against South Africa on his 19th birthday—November 17, 2010.  Agbossoumonde was named the U.S. Soccer Young Athlete of the Year in 2010.
