2011 North American Soccer League MVP joined Stars FC in January 2013 on a three-year contract, returning to the NASL after a season with the Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer. Barbara is a former teammate of fellow Stars newcomer Pablo Campos, and says he’s excited to rekindle that relationship. Scored 20 goals and had eight assists for Carolina RailHawks in 2011, helping lead the team to the regular season title and a semifinal appearance in the playoffs. Has made 32 appearances for Malta and scored three goals, including one during qualifying for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Remains a part of the Maltese National Team’s player pool. Has played professionally in his native Malta and in Germany.
