The Carolina RailHawks will host the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the North American Soccer League’s Semifinal Series on Saturday, October 6th at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00p.m. ET. Tickets for the semifinal match went on sale immediately following the RailHawks 3 -1 victory over Fort Lauderdale in the Quarterfinal Round.
The NASL Semifinal Series is a two-game series with the winner determined by the greater number of aggregate goals over the two matches. Each team will host one game during the Semifinal Series. After hosting on October 6th, the RailHawks will then travel to Tampa Bay for the second match of the series on October 13th. In the other semifinal matchup, Minnesota and San Antonio will meet on Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 14th. The NASL Final Series will be of the same format as the Semifinal Series and played on the weekends of October 20th and 27th.
The RailHawks and Tampa Bay met four times previously during the 2012 NASL Regular Season. All four matches ended in ties of 1-1, 3-3, 1-1 and 0-0. The two most recent results came on the final week of the NASL Regular Season, with a 1-1 draw in Tamp Bay on September 19th and a 0-0 draw on September 22nd in front of 7,310 fans at WakeMed Soccer Park.
