RailHawks 12th Man Stands Tall as Anticipation Builds

New WakeMed Soccer Stadium is Sold Out - Phase One Upgrades Complete

Ticket Buyers from 13 States and 123 Cities will Make Their Way to Cary

The Carolina RailHawks have sold out Tuesday’s U.S. Open Cup game against MLS Defending Champion L.A. Galaxy. The North Stand received approval for occupancy on Friday at 3:30 PM. There were more than 900 seats reserved at the time of approval in the stand, and the remaining seats were sold on Friday and early Saturday.

“We are delighted to announce that Tuesdays game is Sold Out.  Now as the anticipation builds we look forward to our orange clad 12th Man helping to push the team to an important victory,” said RailHawks President Curt Johnson. “For those that were unable to get tickets we need your support next week as three home games are possible, June 2, June 5 (next Open Cup game), and June 9.”

Fans with tickets to the match are able to pick them up at the Cruizers Box Office.  Box Office hours are Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Monday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Tuesday from 9:00am through the game. RailHawks front office worked closely with Town of Cary officials and Cary PD to facilitate access to the stadium on Tuesday.

Fans should plan to arrive to the stadium early and expect delays closer to kickoff. Those traveling on Chatham Street from Cary will be required to make a right turn into the main entrance and those arriving on Chatham Street from Raleigh or Trinity Rd. will be required to make a left turn into the soccer park’s auxiliary entrance. The parking lot will open at 4:00 PM to allow fans to arrive early and an extended tailgate opportunity.

The match will be streamed live at www.CarolinaRailHawks.com/live and broadcast live on HD FM on 99.9-3 The Ticket. With a win on Tuesday, the next U.S. Open Cup opponent will be the winner of the match between MLS’ Chivas USA and PDL’s Ventura County Fusion.  The RailHawks have won the draw to host the Fourth Round of the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
