Ustream Partners with NASL to Stream 100+ Free Live Matches for the 2012 Soccer Season
The North American Soccer League (NASL) today announced a partnership with Ustream, the leader in live, interactive, and online video streaming which enables the interactive video platform to stream all NASL matches for free, to fans around the globe. Today’s announcement with Ustream enables NASL to expand its digital presence and leverage Ustream’s platform to provide an online forum for these discussions and actively track fan feedback and engagement concurrent with live programming.
The NASL on Ustream kicks off April 7 with four games involving all eight NASL teams including a featured game between the 2011 NASL Champion Minnesota Stars FC and 2011 NASL Regular Season Champion Carolina RailHawks. You can catch all of the action at

The matches on April 7 include:
· 7:30 p.m. ET- The Atlanta Silverbacks vs San Antonio Scorpions @ Atlanta Silverbacks Park
· 7:30 p.m. ET- Fort Lauderdale Strikers vs FC Edmonton @ Lockhart Stadium
· 7:30 p.m. ET- Puerto Rico Islanders vs Tampa Bay Rowdies @Estadio Juan Ramon Loubriel
· 8:30 pm. ET- Minnesota Stars FC vs Carolina RailHawks @ Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome
The NASL streamed the majority of its games and several press conferences on Ustream during the 2011 season. As part of an expanded relationship, Ustream will launch an NASL “Super Channel” which will create a centralized hub where fans can find content from all eight NASL teams. NASL teams plan to increase video content beyond live games by providing player features, coaches’ shows, press conferences, and other live streamed content.
Under the terms of the partnership, The NASL, which provides only the best in soccer programming, will leverage Ustream’s array of social media application tools and its reach of more than 50 million monthly unique viewers to stream the 2012 season live to fans where ever they are. Fans can watch and broadcast live and interact by posting comments and questions via Ustream’s social stream or chat feature.
