Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint Community Shield Match kicks off at 3:00p.m.

CARY, N.C. – The Carolina RailHawks have released their Community Shield Pack that includes Flex tickets and gear at a deeply discounted price. The Flex Vouchers included can be used for the 4^th annual Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint Community Shield Match that will see the Carolina RailHawks and MLS’ Vancouver Whitecaps FC take the field on Sunday, March 4^th at 3:00 pm.

The pack starts at just $59 and includes 2 Flex Vouchers and a fleece jacket or hooded sweatshirt. For fans looking for a little more, the $119 pack includes 6 Flex Vouchers, a winter hat, and a fleece jacket or sweatshirt. The vouchers can be redeemed for the upcoming match against the Whitecaps or any 2012 regular season home game.

The match will give fans around the Triangle the opportunity to watch an MLS team without having to travel. The game will give RailHawks fans the first opportunity to meet their new team led by head coach Colin Clarke as they begin their preparation for the 2012 NASL Season.  The community shield match will bring the return of former coaches Martin Rennie and Paul Ritchie, and former players NASL Best XI players; Matt Watson, Brad Knighton, and Etienne Barbara. 

“We are delighted to bring Vancouver, an MLS team, to the Triangle,” said RailHawks president Curt Johnson. “The match will be special with former players and coaches returning to WakeMed Soccer Park and it will be the first time our supporters will see the 2012 RailHawks take the field.”
